Leaked by Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) about 1 month ago, Motorola XT502 Greco has been confirmed by FCC documents. The initial information regarding the device listed it as supporting GSM quad-band, WCDMA UMTS band I, II, V (2100 / 1900 / 850) and HSDPA technology. By the way it looks in the picture, XT502 seems to be a mid-ranged smartphone, which seems to be running Android OS (version still unknown).

Other key features of the smartphone include WiFi 802.11b/g, USB 2.0, Bluetooth technology 2.0 + EDR, built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support, 3.5mm audio jack port and camera (with LED flash?). Moreover, according to the FCC documents, Motorola XT502 Greco might be offered under the names of Quench XT3 and XT5. While the documents don't mention any specific information regarding the difference between the two devices, it will probably have to do with the WCDMA network compatibility.

Motorola CLIQ XT is sold on the international markets as Motorola Quench, which means that the future Quench XT3 and XT5 might be its successors. While there's no word yet on who will be getting the smartphone first, FCC docs specify that the approved version of the device is for WCDMA band II and V, which puts AT&T in the lead for offering Motorola Greco.

More important is the fact that the device will probably see fast internationalization thanks to its compatibility with both European and North American 3G bands. Let's hope we won't see it launched only in China, so that Android fans can get their hands on this mid-budget smartphone. No information about a possible launching date has been disclosed, nor its price, but we estimate that new info about the device might leak in the coming weeks.
