Wireless carrier Verizon and mobile phone maker Motorola announced on Tuesday that a new handset was available for the operator's customers, namely the Motorola Entice W766. The new device comes to the shelves with one-touch access to features like a music player, the camera or its speakerphone, as well as with a flip form factor and advanced connectivity options. Moreover, the two companies also stated that Big Red's users would have the opportunity to enjoy fast data transfers and downloads through the pairing of the new Motorola Entice W766 with Verizon's 3G network.

Some of the most attractive features that the new device comes with on the operator's airwaves include external touch sensors to enable fast access to the aforementioned functionality options, a large display that enables users to enjoy easy reading, a 2-megapixel photo snapper that also comes with video recording capabilities, as well as Bluetooth connectivity with support for A2DP, HSP and HFP profiles. Other features of the new handset also include a microSD memory card slot that delivers support for up to 8GB of additional storage space, as well as USB 2.0 connection capabilities.

The Motorola Entice W766 also comes with a series of lifestyle features, including:
- Support for a multitude of Verizon Wireless services, including VZ Navigator, Family Locator, Mobile Email, Mobile IM and Dashboard
- Backup Assistant to keep a copy of the phone’s address book on a secure Web site
- IM-style texting for a simple view of text trails by contacts, so it feels like having a natural conversation.

The new flip mobile phone is already available for purchase from Verizon Wireless, starting yesterday, September 22, for a price tag of $39.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier and after a $50 mail-in rebate. Those willing to go for the new handset will find it available online on the operator's website, yet it should also arrive in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores later this month. The mail-in rebate, Verizon adds, will be received in the form of a debit card.
