Motorola had a promotion on its Moto X smartphone on Cyber Monday, with the device available off-contract for $150 (€110) less, but it did not manage to sell many phones, due to server issues.

The company has already issued an apology to its users for that, and announced that it would have the device available in the United States at the same reduced price tag for two days, starting today.

Now, the handset vendor has provided some more info on how the deal will work, as well as on the measures it took to ensure that there would be no more server issues this time.

“This week we’ve put a lot of work into designing a simple sale that avoids rushed checkouts and frantic phone selection, so that you can take your time customizing your Moto X without racing against the clock,” the company announced in a blog post.

Starting with 12 pm today (EST), as well as at 12 pm EST on Monday, December 9, the customized Moto X will be available with a $150 discount through Motorola’s official portal.

Furthermore, select accessories such as cases, headphones, and wireless products will be offered for 30 percent less, with the promo code THANKS.

“We have bumped up the number of sale devices available. The promotion will last as long as quantities are available each day,” the company notes.

To take advantage of the deal on Moto X, users will have to go to motorola.com/holiday2daysale to register for the promotion at noon EST, on either of the two days. In a few hours following registration, a promo code will be sent to users’ email accounts.

This code will be valid for one week, and users will be able to go to the Moto Maker to customize their Moto X devices within this period of time. At checkout, simply enter the promo code to benefit from the price cut on the purchase of the device.

“Submit your order to get rocking with your custom Moto X in time for the holidays. Moto Maker will provide an estimated delivery date while you design your product and again at checkout,” Motorola notes.

Users will also receive an email when the company starts assembling their devices, and they will also be informed on when the phone ships. However, shipping times are subject to parts availability, the company explains.
