It looks like another Nordic country gets the Motorola MOTOLUXE. After announcing the immediate availability of the smartphone in Denmark and Sweden, Motorola introduced the handset in Norway as well.

Customers can purchase the Motorola MOTOLUXE through authorized retailers across the country for a price that has yet to be disclosed.

Aimed at youngsters, the MOTOLUXE stands out thanks to a special lanyard slot that lights up whenever the user missed a call, received a text or an email.

The smartphone comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform on board, but an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in the not-so-near future won’t come as a surprise.

In addition, the MOTOLUXE runs Motorola’s MotoSwitch user interface, which puts the most important information only a click away. The phone also provides access to more than 450,000 apps via Google Play Shop.

The UI comes with several great features such as the Social Graph that provides users easy and quick access to the most used contacts. The Activity Graph actively learns which apps are mostly used and puts them on the home screen for quicker access.

Hardware-wise, Motorola MOTOLUXE is equipped with an 800 MHz single-core processor and packs 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The mid-budget smartphone also boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus and LED flash. The smartphone sports a secondary VGA front-facing camera as well.

By combining sleek style with Android brains, we believe MOTOLUXE is ideal for design conscious consumers who don’t want to compromise on functionality. Not only does this smartphone have a big screen and the latest, greatest entertainment tools, it’s affordable and won’t take a bite out of your budget,” said Victoria McManus, marketing director, UK & Nordics, Motorola Mobility.
