Mobile phone maker Motorola announced recently that it was currently working with Adobe to deliver the Flash Player 10.1 solution to users of a Motorola smartphone. At the same time, the company also notes that DROID is a handset that has been used in the development of the Flash Player 10.1 for the Android platform, and that Motorola smartphone users will soon be able to enjoy uncompromised Web browsing, as well as other capabilities via this technology.

“Consumers demand that the same high-quality Web experience they know from the desktop port easily to their mobile experience as well,” said Sanjay Jha, co-CEO of Motorola and CEO of Motorola Mobile Devices. “Working with Adobe to bring rich Flash content to our smartphone portfolio will revolutionize how consumers experience the mobile Web by making it more vivid and interactive than ever before.”

Adobe Flash Player 10.1 is a consistent browser runtime coming from the Open Screen Project, and it is set to deliver a more compelling Web experience on Motorola’s devices. According to the handset vendor, it plans on bringing the Flash Player on its entire Android product portfolio. At the same time, the company stated that the move should be made in the first half of the ongoing year, as soon as Adobe releases Flash Player 10.1.

“Flash is an integral part of the Web and delivers rich content, applications and videos to millions,” said David Wadhwani, vice president and general manager, Platform Business at Adobe. “By working with us to bring virtually all Flash content on the Web to its devices, Motorola is ensuring consumers have an uncompromised Web browsing experience no matter where they are.”

In related news, we learn that Motorola said at CES 2010 in Las Vegas that it also planned on upgrading its Android phones to the latest flavor of the Google operating system, 2.1. It seems that Motorola CLIQ will enjoy the new software solution as well even if it has been rumored that only DROID will get it. While no exact details on when the update comes have been unveiled at the moment, rumors suggest that DROID will enjoy the solution in a matter of days. Stay tuned for more info on this.
