It looks like Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX is about to become obsolete, which is why Amazon decided to make room for newer and more powerful smartphones.

This is why the retailer announced the smartphone is now available for only $49.99 USD with a new two-year agreement. This deal is only available for new customers who are willing to commit to a long-term contract.

However, those who are already Verizon’s customers and wish to upgrade will be able to purchase the DROID RAZR MAXX for a discounted price of $69.99 USD, which is still a nice amount. Check it out here.

Keep in mind that the smartphone will be shipped with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform out of the box, so owners won’t have to manually update their devices.
