Motorola’s RAZR smartphone has proved a successful device, both overseas and in its homeland country, where it landed on Verizon Wireless’ network as the DROID RAZR.

Thus, Motorola and Verizon launched a successor for it, the DROID RAZR MAXX, and they are reportedly gearing up for the release of another such device, the DROID RAZR HD.

The smartphone is not yet official, but it has already been spotted online, in a screenshot of a third-party Cellebrite system.

Apparently, this is the same handset as the previously spotted DROID Fighter, which was initially expected to arrive on shelves in April.

The smartphone features model number XT926, which is consistent with the details leaked a while ago on DROID Fighter; at least this is what the screenshot attached to this article shows.

The image made it on the web via DroidRzr and confirms the existence of the phone, but it does not offer additional info on its availability or pricing.

As for DROID RAZR HD’s hardware specifications, they should be the same as those previously disclosed for the DROID Fighter. The phone is expected to arrive on shelves with a 4.6-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering an HD (720p) resolution, complemented by on-screen navigation keys.

Moreover, it should be powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and complemented by 1GB of RAM.

Motorola is also rumored to have packed the device with a 12- or 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording, complete with a front camera.

Other specs of the new device would include support for 4G LTE, along with the usual WiFi, Bluetooth and MicroUSB ports, or the whole range of sensors.

The new DROID RAZR HD should be powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, most probably with the UI that Motorola showcased a few days ago loaded on top of it.
