Motorola already confirmed and more recently explained thoroughly when and how it will update the DROID RAZR smartphone to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile platform.

However, it looks like Android fans are anxious to see ICS running on Motorola’s Android flagship smartphone. This is one of the main reasons that developer DroidTh3ory took it further and put Ice Cream Sandwich on the DROID RAZR.

Although there are things that need to be improved, all that really matters is that the ICS is now running on the DROID RAZR.

For the time being, the touchscreen needs to be calibrated correctly and the networking needs more work to be fully functional.

It is also worth mentioning that thanks to “SafeStrap” the DROID RAZR can dual boot Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich. More info on the progress of the ROM can be found here.
