Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is gearing up for the release of a new LTE-capable smartphone on its airwaves, the Motorola DROID RAZR, and some more info on the availability of this device started to emerge.

Apparently, the operator plans on making the new device available via all of its channels starting with November 10, at least this is what some recently leaked documents show.

Verizon has already opened the pre-order period for the new mobile phone, and is expected to start delivering devices in about ten days from now.

However, even if it confirmed that pre-orders will be delivered on that day, Verizon did not make an official announcement on the specific release date for the new high-end smartphone.

All the info regarding the release date of the new device seems to have been confirmed today, via the said leaked documents, which emerged over at Droid-life.

All Verizon channels will have the new smartphone available for customers on that day, including the wireless carrier's stores nationwide, as well as websales and telesales, and partner retailers too.

When made available for purchase, the RAZR will compete against some other very appealing smartphones that offer similar capabilities, including the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and HTC Rezound (the latter is still unofficial).

Even so, DROID RAZR will have a lot to offer to those who will choose it over competitors, including a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced touchscreen, or a fast 1.2GHz dual-core application processor.

Moreover, the mobile phone includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for 1080p HD video recording, complemented by a front camera that enables users make and receive video calls.

The handset also features 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot that can accommodate cards of up to 32GB (a 16GB card included into the mix).

In addition to offering support for Verizon's LTE and CDMA networks, the new device also packs WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, as well as a built-in GPS receiver, Mobile Hotspot capabilities, and a 1780 mAh battery.

The smartphone was announced with a price tag of $299.99 (around 220 Euros) with the signing of a contract agreement.
