Motorola DROID RAZR, the latest Android-based handset from the mobile phone maker to land on shelves at Verizon Wireless, has been already rooted.

All those who have purchased the new device and would like to benefit from access to more resources than what was made available for them in the first place can now root the device, though precaution is recommended, it seems.

The root method comes from the guys over at Droidforums, and can be used only via computers running under Windows.

The process is a bit tricky at the moment, and those who are interested in giving it a try should think twice before stepping in.

More details on the matter can be found over at Droidforums here. Just keep in mind that the rooting is a bit rough now, and that it might get better soon.

Wow. Didn't realise Android 2.3.5 had already been routed even before the release of the Droid Razr. And considering that it is using Android 2.3.5, I suppose that has nothing to do with the fact that it has been routed so easily?
