This is a pre-alpha build, so expect only a few features to work

The old Motorola DROID is one of the latest Android smartphone to unofficially receive an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.

The folks over at XDA-developers continue to bring Google’s latest operating system to as many devices as possible.

It might seem weird to put Android 4.0 on a smartphone that has yet to receive its Android 2.3 Gingerbread update, but it’s better than using an obsolete platform.

However, we do not recommend installing this pre-alpha release which brings Android 4.0 to the original Motorola DROID yet. There are only a handful of features working, while most of them are a work in progress.

This ROM is based on Android 4.0.3 and CyanogenMod 9 and has fully working Wi-Fi. However, external speakers and camera are not working, while the screen rotation is still bugged.
