The release of Verizon's fourth Android-based mobile phone to include support for 4G LTE connectivity, Motorola DROID Bionic, is nearing fast, although no official info on the matter emerged for the time being. The smartphone has made it to the headlines a few times before, with various rumored details regarding its availability in tow, and it seems that those suggesting that September will bring it to shelves might pan out.

Just as Motorola announced a while ago, the LTE-capable DROID Bionic should hit the market next month, and the fact that it was just spotted in Best Buy's September buyer's guide (via Droid-life) seems to confirm that.

Not only does the guide confirm the near availability of the new Android-based mobile phone, but it also unveils info on the hardware specs the mobile phone might sport.

Of course, we already had the chance to have a look at those specs, and these are little surprises left for those who have been following the DROID Bionic closely, but it is still worth having a second look at the list.

The Motorola DROID Bionic is expected to arrive on the market with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display on the front, boasting a qHD resolution, as well as with an OMAP4 dual-core application processor clocked in at 1GHz.

Moreover, the mobile phone should sport 1GB of RAM, along with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back with HD video recording capabilities, and a VGA camera on the front, for video calling.

It would also include support for 4G LTE, as well as for Verizon's CDMA network, and for WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. A built-in GPS receiver should be included in the mix too, along with a microSD memory card slot.

No official info on the price tag the mobile phone could sport is known for the time being, but rumor has it that it should have been set at $299 with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier, and at $589 when purchased contract free.
