Undoubtedly, there are many enthusiasts who can hardly wait for the Android-based Motorola DROID to become available for purchase at Verizon Wireless with support for the carrier's LTE network, and it seems that it should not be too long before that happens. Unveiled almost nine months ago, the mobile phone was delayed so that a series of design changes would be applied to it, but it seems that it is finally on its way to shelves.

Motorola already confirmed that September will bring to the market the DROID Bionic, and the company is currently making the final preparations for the release.

One of them would involve the marketing of their new product, and a Motorola DROID Bionic commercial that was caught on camera already emerged into the wild, suggesting that the availability of this device should be very near.

The video, which emerged on Android Central, was already removed, which points at the fact that Verizon and Motorola might actually plan on making an official announcement on the new handset very soon.

We already saw the mobile phone included in a range of Best Buy materials, as well as on a coming soon page at Verizon, which leaves little doubt regarding its near availability.

However, what remains to be seen is when the device actually arrives, and what price tag it could feature when made available for purchase.

Previous rumors suggested that it might go for $300 on contract, which is in line with that Verizon asks for other LTE-capable devices on its airwaves, but nothing has been confirmed on this until now.

Hopefully, an official announcement will follow shortly, and the device itself will be launched soon, so as to be already available for purchase in mid-September when Verizon's 4G LTE network arrives in new markets around the country, so stay tuned to learn more on this.
