Motorola Clutch i465 on Telus Starting July 14

Motorola Canada and Telus announced on Friday that the Motorola Clutch i465 was another iDEN mobile phone that was set to become available with the mobile phone carrier in the near future. The handset comes to the Canadian market as a military-style rugged device and includes both Push-to-Talk technology, which will take advantage of the operator's iDEN network, as well as a QWERTY keypad so as to prove a great option for small and medium-sized business users.

“Motorola is pleased to announce Clutch - the ultimate choice for quick, easy communications, whether at work or at home,” said Glenn Kennedy, iDEN sales manager, Motorola Canada. “Clutch is a multi-talented communications tool whether you need to talk and have a lengthier conversation, for texting when you need to share private information, or for Push-To-Talk capability when you need an immediate response from an individual or a group.”

The new mobile phone will deliver to customers in the country immediate connection to team members who use Direct Connect, via both one-to-one and one-to-many with Group Call on the carrier's Mike network. Users will be able to send and receive messages, calendar events, pictures, location information and more through the push of a button. Moreover, an integrated two-way radio offers them the possibility to communicate with others even at times when there is no network coverage available.

Some of the key features that Motorola Clutch i465 comes to the market with include the iDEN Push-to-Talk functionality, a QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging, military tough durability, meeting U.S. 810F Military Specifications, threaded messaging with an IM-style format for easy-to-follow conversation flow, quick access to messaging, the web and camera with a simple touch, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS receiver, MMS capabilities, Internet navigation functionality.

Telus also announced that the new Motorola Clutch i465 would become available for purchase in the country on its network starting with July 14, while the price tag of the device has been set at $99 on a 3-year contract agreement.
