More information about the rumored T-Mobile Cliq 2 has surfaced, which makes us believe the smartphone is very close to a market release. Codenamed “Begonia”, the device was mentioned for the first time in a leaked T-Mobile roadmap at the beginning of July.

From the leaked document it appears that the smartphone will be launched around November 5th, but the latest rumors say that Cliq 2 is preping for a November 1 launch.

According to the guys over Engadget, Motorola Cliq 2 will be powered by Android 2.2 operating system with Motorola's BLUR UI.

This will be blast for Motorola and Android fans, as the device will feature a very interesting keyboard layout, with excellent ergonomics.

This will be the third upcoming Android smartphone that is in the works for T-Mobile, after myTouch 3G Slide and G2 device are very close to release.

The tipster also mentions that Motorola Cliq 2 will most likely include 3G hotspot support, which G2 seems to be lacking, and thing will not change until its launch.

Cliq 2 will also come with WiFi calling application preinstalled, just like T-Mobile promised a few days ago.

Wi-Fi calling feature is similar to Skype calling, and can be used with any voice plan without adding an additional SOC or feature.

T-Mobile subscribers are in for nice surprises in the near future, as a wide range of Android smartphone will be thrown on the market by the carrier till the end of the year.

With myTouch 3G Slide already in stores, as well as the upcoming G2, Motorola Cliq 2 will have a hard competition on the Android market.

While there's no information yet about its price tag, Cliq 2 will most likely be in the same price range as its main rivals, G2 and myTouch 3G Slide.
