Wireless carrier T-Mobile was rumored recently to plan the launch of a new mobile phone from Motorola, and more proof on the matter emerged recently. We're referring here to the recently spotted Motorola Charm, which should be released on the carrier's airwaves in the near future, and which was spotted in a T-Mobile “Back to School” poster.

The Motorola Charm is expected to become available at T-Mobile with a candybar form factor, a QWERTY keyboard on the front, and touch capabilities. All in all, the upcoming device should prove a great addition to the carrier's offering, as it would bring forth a nice range of messaging capabilities, especially since it would be included in the Back to School promotion next to Samsung :) (Smiley), Gravity 3 and the Gravity T, all of which sport enhanced messaging capabilities, as the poster that surfaced over at TmoNews shows.

What's more interesting is that the Motorola Charm should be offered for free to T-Mobile's customers as part of that Back to School promotion. Although no specific details on the hardware specifications of Charm emerged until now, its inclusion in the promotion suggests that we're to see a lower end device launched at T-Mobile. Even so, it still sounds like a deal, that's for sure, especially since the phone is expected to come with Android 2.1 on board, on top of which Motorola pre-loaded the new MOTOBLUR user interface.

Previous reports on Motorola Charm suggested that the device would become available at T-Mobile with a price tag of $74.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier and after a mail-in rebate. If purchase free of contract, the device should cost $269.99. As stated above, the existence of Motorola Charm hasn't been confirmed officially until now, but the emergence of newer details on it suggests that things would be moving in that direction. Stay tuned for more info on this.
