One of the mobile phones that wireless carrier T-Mobile is expected to launch on its airwaves in the near future with Google's Android operating system on board is the Motorola Charm. Spotted into the wild a few weeks ago, the new mobile phone hasn't been announced officially as of yet, though a series of details on its arrival did emerge.

The latest reports on it suggested that T-Mobile would plan on including the Motorola Charm in it's back to school promotion. According to those reports, the Motorola Charm would be offered for free for a limited period of time, and should be accompanied in the promotion by the recently announced Samsung :) (Smiley) , Samsung Gravity 3 and the Gravity T.

This time around, we have the opportunity to see the Motorola Charm in a photo showing it into the wild. No additional details on the mobile phone came along with the photo attached to this article (courtesy of TmoNews), but one can clearly distinguish the candybar form factor of Motorola Charm, as well as its four-row QWERTY keyboard placed beneath the touchscreen.

One thing that was said about the upcoming mobile phone was that it might include a touchpad like feature on its back, just as the Motorola Backflip does. The screen on this piece of hardware should be of around 3 inches, it seems, while the OS it runs under was rumored to be Android 2.1, though no proof of that surfaced.

It seems that T-Mobile already started sending out to its stores promo materials with the Motorola Basil/Charm, dubbed the “Motorola Basil Project.” The new mobile phone should become available for purchase sometime in late July, it seems, when T-Mobile would add it to its offering as a lower end device, priced at $74.99 on contract and after mail-in rebate (through offered for free via the back to school promotion).
