Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA has just put on sale a new Android-based mobile phone for its users, namely the Motorola CLIQ XT, the latest handset launched by Motorola with Google's mobile operating system on board. The device is now available for purchase both with and without a contract agreement, and those willing to sign in for a two-year service on an Even More plan will have to pay $129.99 for the device.

The handset has been previously rumored to sport a smaller price tag when launched on T-Mobile's airwaves today, namely $99.99, yet it seems that the carrier has launched it with a different cost attached to it. However, those users who would rather purchase the device without a contract agreement are also able to do so, and choosing an Even More Plus plan from T-Mobile will bring them the Motorola CLIQ XT for $329.99, a price that does not sound too bad in the end, considering the capabilities of the device.

“Get Social With a Touch! Powered by MOTOBLUR and offering Flash-enabled software and a pinch and zoom screen, CLIQ XT lets you experience the Web in a way that adds a whole new dimension to your social life,” T-Mobile says about the new phone. The device comes with Motorola's MotoBlur solution on board, offering users a fast way of staying in touch with contacts, while also delivering updates on various areas directly on the handset's homescreen. Those interested in learning more on Motorola CLIQ XT or on purchasing the device should head over to T-Mobile's website here.

In addition to putting the new Motorola Android phone on sale, T-Mobile also confirmed that the high-end HTC HD2 would become available for purchase on its airwaves as soon as March 24. Moreover, the wireless carrier is also reported to have confirmed the contract price tag for the Windows Mobile 6.5-based device, which has been set at $199.99, just as previously reported. If there are some who would like to have the phone but don't want the service agreement, they can have the phone for $450 it seems. The handset will land next Wednesday, so stay tuned for more.
