Motorola's first Android-based mobile phone, the Cliq, has just emerged on the web in a promo video that delivers a closer look both at the handset and at its MOTOBLUR user interface/experience. The handset has been already announced to come to the market on the airwaves of wireless carrier T-Mobile, as well as on Orange UK, where it will be marketed as the Motorola DEXT.

It shouldn't be too long before we see the handset available for purchase on the market, and it seems that some reviews for it already surfaced, and they show that Motorola indeed managed to do a great job with this device. Based on that, we might expect for the future rumored Android phones from the company to be nice too.

According to the guys over at T3, who grabbed a Motorola DEXT/CLIQ and took a closer look at it, users should be quite happy with the experience the device is capable of delivering. The processor delivers a smooth move around widgets, the handset sports great connectivity capabilities, while the social networking features of the Cliq seem to be great too.

To make an idea of what the Android phone will bring to the market, take a look at the promo video that can be seen at the bottom of this article. In the meantime, we should bring to your attention some of the latest rumors regarding the launch date of Motorola's Cliq handset. According to BGR, the phone should land no further in the future than November 11, which is later than we hopped for.

T-Mobile US, the carrier that managed to top the ranks in a recently published consumer satisfaction survey, is reportedly gearing up to launch two handsets on that day, namely the Cliq and the BlackBerry 9700. While it remains to be seen whether the rumors prove true or not, you might also want to learn that AT&T should also launch the 9700 around that date, and that Rogers is expected to have it starting with mid-October.
