Motorola CLIQ 2 Unveiled, Coming Soon at T-Mobile

The long-awaited Motorola CLIQ 2 has just been officially introduced by Motorola Mobility, the new Motorola independent company that focuses on mobile devices. The smartphone is the follow-up of the popular Motorola CLIQ business device, but with an upgraded spec sheet.

The CLIQ2 slider will be exclusively available at T-Mobile USA starting on January 19th at a price that will be soon disclosed.

Motorola CLIQ 2 is powered by an ultra-fast 1GHz processor and runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) mobile platform with MOTOBLUR UI.

The smartphone features a 3.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 262k colors and 854 x 480 pixels resolution.

According to the manufacturer, the slide-out QWERTY keypad shortens the distance between keys and increases key size for fast text entry.

“With business-ready features and robust entertainment options, CLIQ 2 users will be able to make the most of every moment,” added Mutricy.

Thanks to the Wi-Fi calling capabilities, users will be able to make calls over wireless networks. The device comes bundled with applications such as BLOCKBUSTER ONDEMAND and Amazon Kindle, which can turn CLIQ 2 into an entertainment hub.

Other key features of the smartphone include: HSDPA and HSUPA technology, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, DLNA function, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and geo-tagging, 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as GPS with A-GPS support.
