Both feature slim designs, appealing features and affordable price tags

Two new Android-based mobile phones from Motorola have made their debut on the market in India, namely the Motorola FIRE XT and Motorola FIRE, both featuring slim designs, affordable form factors, and the features and capabilities that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS has to offer.

The new Motorola FIRE XT comes to the market with a large 3.5-inch touchscreen display, and with video chat capabilities, along with great email features, or the Swype keyboard for fast texting.

The handset comes with a dual camera, and can deliver great video recording courtesy of the 5MP photo snapper on the back, which also sports auto focus and flash.

The Motorola FIRE brings along fast social messaging, along with appealing web browsing capabilities and friends-centric widgets, while putting together a 2.8-inch touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard. It also packs a 3MP camera.

Both devices offer microSD memory card slots with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, WiFi connectivity, 3G hotspot for connecting up to 5 devices, FM Radio, built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors: e-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer.

Both handsets are already available for purchase in select cities in India, Motorola announced. Motorola FIRE XT features a price tag of Rs 12,990 (MRP: Rs 13,890) at a best buy, while the Motorola FIRE was priced at Rs 9,490 (MRP: Rs 9,990).
