Mobile phone maker Motorola has made available for download new versions of the Motorola Assist and Active Display applications for its smartphones, so as to patch a few bugs that users have been complaining about.

Both applications have been released with support for Android 4.2 and newer devices, but some of their features will work only on Droid Ultra, Droid Mini, Droid Maxx, and Moto X handsets. Active Display is available only on these phones, though MobileSyrup notes that Moto G users can also enjoy it.

At the moment, Motorola Assist is available for download as version 2.0.29, featuring the aforementioned bug fixes inside, along with support to troubleshoot drive mode audio issues when connected to Bluetooth.

Moreover, Motorola notes that the meeting mode in the application will no longer be triggered by meetings where users are marked as “Available.”

The new flavor of Motorola Active Display, available for download as version 1.2.8, was designed to honor the system vibration settings. As Motorola notes, users can turn vibration on or off by heading to Settings > Sound > Vibrate on touch.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the application was designed to provide users with the information they need, when they need it. “Information quietly appears on the screen, so you don’t have to wake it up to look at the time or see your messages,” Motorola notes.
