Shortly after announcing the immediate availability of the ATRIX in Greece, Motorola Mobility confirmed the smartphone in Poland.

Motorola ATRIX will be available for purchase in selected retail stores across the country beginning October 10.

Android enthusiasts who want to get one of these superphones must pay 1,999 PLN (about $605 or 405 EUR) outright.

In addition, Polish customers will be able to purchase one or both Motorola ATRIX accessories, a Lapdock and an HD Multimedia Dock, which will be sold separately.

When placed into one of these docks, a proprietary Webtop application will be available for use with the ATRIX, which can turn the smartphone into a desktop PC.

Furthermore, a full Firefox desktop browser will be available for comfortable web browsing, along with the Entertainment Center feature that allows users to display photos, play music and watch videos from HD TVs.

Smartphones are increasingly being used as the primary digital screen. Motorola ATRIX ushers in a new era of mobile computing by combing the powerful mobile handset with the interactive webtop application and exclusive docks, to enable consumers to extend the capabilities of their smartphones to a PC-like experience” said Małgorzata Matusiewicz, head of marketing, Central Europe, Motorola Mobility.

Hardware-wise, Motorola ATRIX is equipped with a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor and an ULP GeForce graphics processing unit for improved gaming experience.

It comes with full support for Adobe Flash and provides users access to more than 250,000 apps via Android Market.

The ATRIX packs 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The smartphone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread and sports an amazing 4.0-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

The phone's 1930 mAh Li-Polymer battery should provide up to 400 hours (300 hours for 3G mode) of standby time or up to 9 hours of talk time, Motorola claims.
