14 DAY TRIAL // The business-ready Motorola ATRIX 2 has just arrived in Panama. The smarpthone is currently available in all Movistar brick and mortar stores across the country.
According to the carrier, customers can purchased the ATRIX 2 both on post-paid or pre-paid offers for prices that will be disclosed soon.
Although the smartphone comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system the ATRIX 2 is equipped with a powerful enough 1 GHz dual core processor.
In addition, the ATRIX 2 packs 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
“For Movistar, it is a great honor to launch to the Panamanian market, with Motorola, a phone whose characteristics will undoubtedly meet the expectations of our customers, increasingly more demanding and experts in the world of smartphones,” said Guadalupe Zajaratos, terminals and logistics manager, Telefonica Panama.
Furthermore, the device sports a hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and is covered by a thin layer of Corning Gorilla Glass for extra protection.
Software-wise, the ATRIX 2 comes pre-loaded with MotoCast app, allowing users to stream content from a computer directly to to the phone.
On the back, the smartphone boasts an impressive 8-megapixel photo snapper, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There's also a secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls.
“Motorola ATRIX 2 is the smartphone that doubles as an entertainment center. You can have a blast doing multiple things at once: watching movies, web surfing, sharing pictures, you name it,” concluded Camilo Sánchez, product manager of Motorola Mobility.
In the connectivity front, Motorola ATRIX 2 offers multiple options such as HSDPA and HSUPA technology, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. The smartphone also packs a built-in GPS receiver which can be easily paired with Google Maps application.
