Motorola announced today that it has shipped near 2 million MOTOMING units in Greater China, making the award-winning, elegantly designed handset the best selling smartphone in China, taking an unprecedented 50% of the country's pen-based PDA market.

In September, MOTOMING was granted the highly-acclaimed Outstanding Product Design award at the iF Design Awards China 2006, and in October, MOTOMING was named "Product of the Year" and given the top design award from the China Industry Design Association.

MOTOMING's success comes from its exceptional design and powerful features. In addition to the transparent flip cover, MOTOMING boasts a large display, high-resolution two mega-pixel camera, a business card reader, an award-winning bilingual talking dictionary, and the most advanced Chinese handwriting recognition software in the market.

The latest refresh of MOTOMING features all the superior functions that have made it a winner in the industry, but also includes a few new surprises inside. At the top of the list is a new push-email feature that is compliant with China Mobile's service, enabling phone users to have emails delivered directly to their MOTOMING, rather than having to retrieve them. Other additions include built-in ''Air-Sync'', making the MOTOMING capable of synching with Microsoft Exchange for easy organization, and built-in QR Code software, which greatly simplifies the task of making entries into the handset's address book and WAP sites.
