The music game genre is growing by leaps and bounds these recent few years, as titles such as Guitar Hero or Rock Band have attracted a huge number of fans. The fact that you could play alongside your friends your favorite tracks made the companies responsible for such titles very successful.

Although the wide variety of tracks offered a great experience to almost any music fan, firms like Activision believed that world renowned bands deserved their own version of a game. As such, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was born, but didn't sell extremely well. Now, with the upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica, the publisher hopes to generate a bigger profit by adding other famous bands to the tracklist.

We have already posted the list of songs that would be featured in the game, with bands such as Queen, System of a Down or Slayer rocking out alongside Metallica, but it seems that the lead singer and bassist from Motorhead, Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, will also make an appearance in the game slated for a March release.

“It's great to be in Guitar Hero with all these famous people and I'm really pleased to be in it with Metallica... but James is still taller than me,” said Lemmy, acknowledging that Metallica's lead singer, James Hetfield, is bigger than him. The rocker will bring along the 2008 re-record of the band's famous Ace of Spades album.

All in all, Guitar Hero: Metallica is shaping up to be a very solid title, which will deliver a lot of interesting things, like a new difficulty setting for the drums and many famous artists, making it a true must buy for any fan of the famous hard rock band.
