"Motorcycle Diaries" and Actor William H. Macy Honored at Image Awards

Actor William H. Macy was honored with the Rainmaker Award at the Maui (Hawaii) Film Festival for "his magical ability to raise the creative dynamics of every project he touches," organizers say.

Macy, who was accompanied by his wife, Felicity Huffman, said acting continues to challenge him. "I still find myself coming up against situations that I'm not quite sure what to do. That's a great feeling,"

"The Motorcycle Diaries", was the big winner at Friday's Image Award, getting Best Picture, Best Director for Salles, Best Supporting Actor for Rodrigo De La Serna and the Norman Lear Writer's Award for Jose Riviera, who adapted Guevara's diaries into the screenplay.

The show honors the latino culture and latinos contributions. "We created the Imagen Awards 20 years ago because at the time there was no other formal awards show to recognize top Latino entertainment talent," said Helen Hernandez, president and founder of the Imagen Foundation.
