Microsoft has released an update for its Modern Sports app a couple of days ago, but the available release notes only pointed to a small number of changes.

The company, however, decided to detail all these improvements in a post on its official Bing blog, revealing that the app now comes with no more, no less than 17 global additional soccer leagues.

For example, the Sports app brings scores from Saudi Arabia Pro League, Turkish Super Lig, Liga Adelante, Serie B and South Africa Pro League right in the Metro UI of your Windows 8 device.

According to Microsoft, it is available in no less than 233 markets and comes with support for all major languages. It’s obviously compatible with all Windows 8 devices, including x64, x86 and ARM builds.
