The customization option was initially expected before Thanksgiving

Motorola’s Moto X smartphone arrived on shelves earlier this year with a wide range of customization options, including one that provided users with the possibility to grab it with a wood back plate.

However, it appears that the feature, which should have been added to the Moto Maker (Motorola’s customization portal for the smartphone) already, won’t be here for a few weeks more.

A recent tweet coming from Reuters’ Sinead Carew unveils that Motorola won’t make the wood-backed Moto X available for users in time for Thanksgiving, but that it will arrive soon.

Basically, users should still be able to grab this version of the device during the holiday season, as Phandroid notes, though there’s no telling on how close to Christmas it will be released. Hopefully, it will happen sooner rather than later, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
