Moto X, Motorola’s upcoming customizable Android-based device, is set to arrive in Canada later this year exclusively at Rogers, and some more info on the features and capabilities it will bring along has emerged online.

A video promo for the device has leaked online, coming from Rogers themselves, as pointed out on reddit. The clip, embedded below, is meant to demo some of the most important features of the phone, including an updated Google Now.

Unlike the software version available on Android devices at the moment, Moto X’s Google Now will be always listening, always ready to respond to users’ voice commands, the leaked video promo shows.

While this should sound like a great option to all those who are interested in receiving access to information in a flash, it could also raise a great deal of privacy concerns, that’s for sure.

Furthermore, the feature might easily prove a battery killer, although Google Now will be activated only when a specific keyword is spoken.

Of course, applications that react to voice commands already exist, including Samsung S Voice and more, designed to respond when specific commands are spoken, so as to transform the use of the handset in a much easier task, especially when user’s hands are busy.

In addition to the always-listening Google Now, Moto X will also land on shelves with an “Active updates” feature, which will display notifications on the phone’s screen when it is in sleep mode, instead of the current notification light.

The smartphone will come with an updated camera application as well, one that can be launched through the twist of the wrist.

Photos are taken by tapping anywhere on the phone’s screen, the video promo shows. Furthermore, users can snap multiple pictures at once through simply keeping their finger pressed against the screen, it seems.

The Moto X should land on the market with a faster camera than other devices out there, the company suggested in a recent tweet.
