Mobile phone users in the UK can now purchase the Moto X smartphone from more vendors in the country, as Clove has also added the device to its offering today.

More importantly, the online retailer has unveiled that the new mobile phone is up for grabs through its website at only £299 ($492/€363), SIM-free and unlocked. Only the black variant of the phone is available now.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Motorola announced the availability of the device in the UK a few weeks back, unveiling a launch price of around £380 ($625/€462) for it, but it seems that users can actually have it for far less.

In fact, Clove has already said that it will be adding the phone to its offering with a price tag of only £330 ($543/€400) attached to it, but it has released it for a bit less today.

The retailer will be shipping the phone for free to those who purchase it via its website, but announced that users will have to wait until Monday, February 3, to have their orders sent to them.

Considering the price cut, many might see the deal worthwhile and will certainly choose to wait a few days more for the device to arrive in their hands than paying more for it.

Moto X was launched with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution and is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, paired with Adreno 320 GPU.

Moreover, the mobile phone sports 2GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB/32GB of internal memory, and 50 GB of free Google Drive Storage.

On the back, the handset packs a 10-megapixel camera with full HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a front camera for making video calls.

Moto X is powered by a 2200mAh battery and runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system (the smartphone was launched last summer with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on top).
