Mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of the Developer Edition flavor of the Moto X smartphone should now be able once again to grab it with support for Verizon Wireless’ network.

The handset was put up for sale a few weeks back, but it ran out of stock soon after. Over the weekend, however, the smartphone was listed on Motorola’s website as available for purchase, as Droid-life notes.

However, a lot of people appear to have been interested in buying the device, and Motorola is already listing it as out of stock. It even says that orders might ship with delays.

“Due to high demand, your Moto X Developer Edition (Verizon) may take as long as 7 days to ship,” the company notes.

The Moto X Developer Edition for Verizon is priced at $649.99 (€482) at Motorola (the same as the GSM flavor of the device). Chances are that the vendor will make it available again soon, so that all those interested in it could make a purchase.

The handset packs the same features and capabilities as the original version of the device, though it adds some new features to the mix.

Among them, we can count an unlockable bootloader, along with 32GB of internal memory and a pre-inserted SIM card. Furthermore, the smartphone has a special black and woven white Developer Edition design.

Moto X was made official with a 4.7-inch HD 720p screen, as well as with Motorola’s X8 Mobile Computing System, which sports a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, and quad-core Adreno 320 GPU.

The handset also features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, and comes with 50GB of free Google Drive storage for 2 years.

On the back, it sports a 10-megapixel CLEAR PIXEL (RGBC) camera with 4X digital zoom and full HD video recording. There is also a 2MP 1080p front camera included.

Moto X is powered by a 2200 mAh battery. It arrives on the market with the entire usual set of connectivity capabilities, as well as with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.
