To make up with unsatisfied customers, Motorola will offer 2 days of price promos

It's been a crazy Cyber Monday for Motorola, as the US-based handset maker did not manage to keep its online store open for all customers to take advantage of the promotional prices.

Motorola offered the Moto X for $150 off the suggested retail price, which means that customers could purchase it for only $350 for the 16GB model and $400 for the 32GB variant.

Unfortunately, Motorola's online store was shut almost all day due to heavy traffic, so only those lucky enough have been able to secure their Moto X devices during Cyber Monday.

When the site was finally functional again, Moxo X Developer Edition for Verizon sold out in less than half an hour, while the GSM variants didn't take too long to sell either.

Although Motorola issued a short warning on its Twitter account saying that when Moto Maker services would be up, they would have extra smartphones available until they sold out, the online store was still down after the ETA expired.

“We’re so sorry Moto Maker services are still down--when the deal goes live, we'll be sure to have extra product available until it sells out.”

However, in order to make up for the problem caused and for failing to keep its business running during the Cyber Monday deals, Motorola promised two days with promotional prices, so that those who could not grab a Moto X could secure their units now.

“Sorry we left you hanging today. We want to make it up to you with 2 days of price promos on Wed and Mon. We’ve added more devices too.”

Keep in mind though that the sale will be for Moto Maker only, as Motorola has confirmed that the Moto X Developer Edition sold out on Cyber Monday.

“The Wed & Mon 12:00 p.m. ET sale will be for Moto Maker only. The Dev Edition Cyber Monday deal is sold out.”

Hopefully, this time, Motorola will be better prepared and will keep its online services up during the two-day sale. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
