A new version of the Moto X smartphone has been officially announced by the mobile phone maker, namely Moto X with 64GB of internal memory.

The handset was announced on Friday and is set to become available for purchase through the official Moto Maker website as soon as tomorrow, June 8.

The device comes with the same features and capabilities as the previously available versions, and should be available at an affordable price tag too.

According to Motorola, the plan is to release the new 64GB Moto X model at only $100 (€73) more when compared to the 16GB Moto X.

Moreover, Motorola has announced that the new device will become available for purchase on the networks of AT&T, T-Mobile (unlocked), Sprint, and Republic Wireless.

However, as Android Police notes, Motorola did not mention Verizon Wireless as being one of the carriers that will have the smartphone on their networks.

However, the company did announce that the new phone model would debut alongside a new one-day promotion that would allow users to try a custom Moto X handset for two weeks.

Set to start at 11 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 8, the new “Try Then Buy” program will allow uses to try out the Moto X without actually making a purchase.

According to the company, the Moto X is so appealing that users won’t want to let it go after holding it, and the new program is expected to boost sales.

“For a limited time, consumers can customize their very own, unlocked Moto X, give it a shot in their world for two weeks, and then decide to return it hassle-free or pay for it at that time,” Motorola said.

“And because the Moto X is the phone that keeps getting better, we’re also offering up a new 64GB version available for just $100 more than the 16GB version for AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Republic Wireless customers.”

Users interested in trying the Moto X will need to head to motorola.com starting Sunday, June 8, at 11:00 p.m. to sign up. They will be provided with a special code as part of the promotion.

Next, they will have to head over to the Moto Maker, where they can design a custom, no-contract device. They will pay only a penny for it, and will be able to try it out for the next two weeks.

When the 14 days period has passed, Motorola will charge users’ credit cards for the full price of the device, if they want to keep it. They will also receive a promo code for 30% off accessories.

In case they want to return the phone, Motorola will pay for the shipment, the company has announced. Keep in mind that the “Try Then Buy” promotion will be open only for 24 hours (until Monday, 6/9, at 11:00 p.m. CT).
