Owners of Moto G smartphones out there interested in trying some unofficial Android builds on their devices can now get a taste of what CyanogenMod 11 has to offer to them.

A custom ROM for the mobile phone can be found in a thread in the XDA-Developers Forum, supposedly compatible with both GSM and Verizon versions of the Moto G.

Unfortunately, this is not an official CyanogenMod release for the device, but it is said to be working quite nicely, including camera, data, calls, media, and the like.

Moreover, the unofficial software is said to have been confirmed to work with both Android 4.3 and 4.4 bootloaders.

Those who would like to learn more on the firmware should head over to the aforementioned forum thread. Given that it is an unofficial build, we recommend extra care if you decide to download and install it.
