Mobile phone users in Australia interested in the purchase of the new Moto G smartphone from Motorola can now pre-order the device via Mobicity.

The retailer has added the handset to its website with a price tag of at $299.95 plus delivery (from $9.95) attached to it, with 8GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the company notes that the phone will become available for purchase in late November, and that no colorful back plates will be available for it in the beginning.

Moto G, the latest Android smartphone from Motorola, became official last week with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution (at 329ppi).

Furthermore, the mobile phone comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor packed inside, paired with 1GB of RAM.

Users interested in the purchase of Moto G will be able to choose between two different internal memory options, namely 8GB and 16GB. At the same time, they will enjoy two years of 50GB free storage on Google Drive.

The specifications list of Moto G also includes a 5-megapixel camera on the back, with support for HD video recording, complemented by a 1.3MP front camera to enable users to make and receive video calls while on the go.

The phone was launched in Australia with support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps and CDMA/EVDO Rev A connectivity, as well as with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/GLONASS capabilities.

Moto G is powered by a 2070 mAh lithium-ion battery. The phone is curved, measures 129.9 x 65.9 x 6.0-11.6 mm, and weighs 143 grams.

At the moment, the device runs under Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, but Motorola has already promised an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat for January next year.

As Ausdroid notes, Moto G is expected to be officially released in Australia in January next year. However, Google did not offer specific details on its arrival and pricing as of now.
