Mobile phone maker Motorola has been long rumored to plan the release of a new flavor of the Moto G smartphone, one that would include support for 4G LTE networks, and it appears that the company is moving closer to launching this device.

The Moto G LTE edition made an appearance on Amazon’s website, where it was listed with a release date of June 30, though it seems to have been already removed from there.

As Android Central notes, two Moto G models were spotted on the retailer’s website, featuring “Universal LTE” capabilities, one in Black and the other in White.

The listing pages for the two devices were actually blank, but users were able to click through to order one, for $219.

Moto G hasn’t been released in White as of now, and the image spotted on Amazon doesn’t say much about it, though it is certainly only a mockup of the phone.

As mentioned above, the fact that Moto G LTE emerged on the retailer’s website suggests that Motorola could make an official announcement on the smartphone sooner rather than later.

However, even if it goes official soon, maybe as soon as this week, the Moto G LTE won’t arrive in users’ hands for about six weeks, provided that the aforementioned June 30 launch date pans out. Hopefully, more on this will emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.

Update: The Moto G LTE has been officially announced today at a London event, set to arrive in a matter of weeks, priced at £149 ($251/€182). It will also feature a microSD memory card slot, it seems.
