Today, mobile phone maker Motorola has officially confirmed plans to make the Moto E and Moto G 4G smartphones available for purchase in Australia starting early July.

Both smartphones will be released in New Zealand too early next month, and various retailers in these countries are expected to add them to their offerings.

Additionally, Motorola has confirmed that Moto E will be available at A$179 (€124) and NZ$195 (€125.5), and that Moto G 4G will cost A$299 (€207) and NZ$325 (€209), a recent article on Ausdroid reads.

Apparently, both handsets will be available in these countries in Black. For the time being, only The Good Guys has added the phone to its lineup, but other retailers are expected to make similar moves soon.

Both Moto E and Moto G 4G were made official only several weeks ago, the former as the cheapest handset in Motorola’s current lineup, and the second as a 4G LTE-enabled flavor of the Moto G.

Moto E comes to the market with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 540 x 960 pixels resolution, as well as with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor inside.

Moreover, the smartphone features Adreno 302 graphics, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card lost for expansion purposes.

The handset also sports a 5-megapixel camera on the back, along with a Li-Ion 1980mAh battery, 3G connectivity (HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and a built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support and GLONASS.

Moto E runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, yet it should receive an update to the newer Android 4.4.3 / 4.4.4 platform versions soon.

As for the new Moto G 4G, it sports the same features and capabilities as the original, only that it adds the aforementioned 4G LTE connectivity in tow, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

The mobile phone boasts a 4.5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, along with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM.

Moreover, the phone was announced in 8GB and 16GB flavors and sports a 5-megapixel camera on the back, with auto focus, LED flash, and HDR. There’s also a 1.3MP front camera on this handset, providing users with video calling capabilities.

The specs list of this device also includes the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors, along with the Android KitKat OS flavor. However, considering Motorola’s determination to keep its smartphones up to date, we might see the phone running under Android L soon.
