The Moto 360 was first announced back in March and since then the device has been teased in a handful of stances.

However, a few months later we still couldn’t purchase the widely hyped device. Well, the wait halts now because, thankfully, the Moto 360 will become officially available for purchase starting at 11 A.M. CT/ 12 P.M. ET for $249.99 / €193 a pop.

If you can’t wait until later today, the sneaky folks at Android Police have found a way for you to order your Moto 360 right now. If you want the silver model with the gray leather band go here, or if you want the black unit complete with black leather band, follow this link.

We should also mention that the leather strap will not be the only option you’ll get while the Moto 360 is concerned. Motorola plans to offer you the choice between a light metal and dark metal versions of the watch.

These options will arrive on the market this fall and will sell for a heftier $299 / €231. However you’ll also be able to pick up the stand alone metal band too, for $79.99 / €62.

Motorola has also posted another teaser video where it urges you to choose the Moto 360 as your companion smartwatch. We’re pretty sure you don’t need a video to convince you of that, but we’re going to post it anyway and you can check it out below.

As a friendly reminder, the Moto 360 is expected to make a debut into the world of wearables equipped with a 1.56-inch LCD display with 320 x 290 pixel resolution fitted with 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM.

Keeping everything onboard running for you is a TI OMAP 3 processor and 320mAh battery. The watch is IP67 certified for water resistance and owners will be able to charge the Moto 360 by laying it into a charging dock.

Naturally, the software that brings the Moto 360 to life is Android Wear. Yesterday we told you that an update for the software is being prepared, and we expect to see Android 2.0 arrive in the wild somewhere around October.

Anyway, we find it worthy to make a mention about the LG G Watch R, the company’s answer to the Moto 360, which has been tipped to arrive on October 14. We expect it to be priced above $229 / €117, so what will you choose?
