Motion Rugged Tablets to Get Built-in Skype Functionality

Motion's rugged Tablet PCs are among the best-known portable computing solutions of this type available out there, and for this reason, it should come as no surprise that they're constantly being upgrade in order to provide users with an even more impressive level of functionality, the latest such update bringing them built-in access to the Skype VoIP service.

So, as the company informs us, its Motion C5v and F5v rugged Tablet PCs will feature pre-loaded Skype software, allowing Skype users to make video and voice calls, collaborate with colleagues, and use instant messaging and SMS/texting features directly from the tablet PCs.

As some of you probably know already, the Motion F5v and C5v Tablet PCs feature lightweight and mobile designs, rugged durability, outdoor displays, mobile broadband with GPS and powerful performance to manage multiple applications.

Integrated features including a front-facing web camera and rear-facing documentation camera, a barcode scanner and a variety of accessories such as a mobile docks and tailored cases make the tablets ideal devices for both field and clinical mobile workforces.

Furthermore, the optional, integrated cameras and communications capabilities available with the Motion F5v and C5v Tablet PCs can be used for seamless unified communications and collaboration across business environments.
