People all over the world are increasingly growing tired and woozy

Ever felt like you were dead beat tired and you couldn't roll out of bed early in the morning? Well, guess what? You’re not the only one.

You probably knew this deep down in your subconscious, but a new report provided by the Wall Street Journal based on data collected from thousands of Jawbone Up wearers worldwide, reveals the dark, gloomy picture – you're not getting enough sleep.

The little wearable devices have been busy picking up the sleeping habits of their owners and the results are in. According to the information, none of us is sleeping as much as we should.

There are a few so-called “well-rested” cities popping up on the map like Melbourne, but even there people just got down the minimum recommended of 7 hours. In cities like Tokyo people live on less than 6 hours.

All in all, folks being part of the survey seem to follow a strict pattern. They get up early on weekdays, move little throughout the day and sleep late during weekends. It has also been noticed they tend to go to bed later as the work week advances.

Surely, the study is restricted to a limited number of people, namely involving folks who have purchased the $150 / €113 device, but it doesn't mean the trend to sleep less and less isn't waving itself into our existence. It’s worrisome and maybe we should take a second to consider the impact of our sleeping patterns on our health.
