Troublesome rapper and hip hop icon DMX likes to take his lyrics to the streets. His encounters with the law are just multiplying by the day, almost in a chain reaction.
On June 2, DMX was arrested for several counts of misdemeanor, including that of unsafe driving and lane exchange, driving without a safety belt and without a license. A few days after, the unsettled rapper was detained for concealing a weapon in his vehicle, outside a popular nightclub. A police officer saw DMX come out of the club, take the gun out from its holster and hide it under the seat of the car.
At the moment, he was not charged for possession of illegal weapon, as the artist has a permit for it, but charges were issued for its concealment.
Yesterday, Earl Simmons (the rapper's real name) was due to appear in court to face the accusations for the driving incident, but he failed to do so because he was 'ill'. The judge, annoyed by his lack of responsibility and by the fact that he was already granted two postponements, declared that, quote, 'we have granted him a number of courtesies. It ends now'. Then, a warrant was issued on Earl's name and, should he miss the court hearing scheduled for tomorrow, he will be taken into police custody.
