Don't expect Kratos but do look forward to new outfits

A few new tidbits of information about Mortal Kombat X have surfaced online, with its producer confirming that the game won't have any console-exclusive characters, while a screenshot supposedly shows a Feudal Japan Skin Pack DLC that might appear alongside the game in April.

Mortal Kombat X has been hyped up for quite some time and developer NetherRealm is slowly getting close to the game's current estimated release period of April for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.

No exclusive characters for Mortal Kombat X

However, while the studio is working on the game and on videos to promote its different fighters, there have been talks about possible DLC or exclusive characters in recent weeks, as apparently, a lot of people are eager to see more fighters besides the regular franchise-specific ones.

Of course, this expectation was built on top of the fact that the previous game in the series, which was titled simply Mortal Kombat, had Kratos from the God of War games as a PS3-exclusive character.

This time around, however, NetherRealm's Sean Himmerick confirms right on his Twitter account that there will be no console-exclusive characters in Mortal Kombat X. As such, PS3 or PS4 owners shouldn't expect Kratos to make a comeback, while Xbox 360 or Xbox One users shouldn't try to think about what character might appear in their versions of the game.

Feudal Japan skins are coming

However, it seems that NetherRealm is going to drop yet another DLC pack as some form of pre-order bonus, as a screenshot via MP1st shows the available add-ons when pre-purchasing Mortal Kombat X on the PS4.

As you can see above, it not only shows the actual game plus the Goro DLC that's already been confirmed but also a Mortal Kombat X Feudal Japan Skin Pack.

It's quite obvious that the add-on brings forth new costumes for some of the characters, but as of yet NetherRealm hasn't talked about it.
