Developers are working to address the situation

If you've been playing Mortal Kombat X on PC since its release and made some fairly good progress, chances are that you are now an angry player if you downloaded yesterday's patch that promised to bring new content and improvements to the game.

As many of you probably already know, the latest Mortal Kombat X patch that should have added Jason Voorhees along with other improvements, also deleted the saves if you had any.

This means that all those who downloaded the 15GB patch had their saves deleted the moment they started the game, which ruined their gameplay experience for sure.

A few hours after the first reports hit Steam and the game's official forum, developers have pulled the patch and promised to be back with a fix.

Today, High Voltage announced that they have addressed the problem that made the patch delete all the saves, so they released the PC patch on Steam once again.

However, they haven't been able to address the issue with the deleted saves, which means that even if you download and apply the new patch released today, you won't get your saves back.

A fix should be ready by May 8

The good news is High Voltage is now working to address the situation, so that players that lost all their progress can get back into the game from where they have left off.

Here is their official statement posted on Mortal Kombat X community thread on Steam: “We understand that some PC players lost their save data before we were able to correct an issue with the most recent patch.

“An updated patch was recently released to add Jason and all of the other patch improvements back into the game and no other players should experience save loss when installing the patch.

“We are truly sorry if the recent patch did cause you to lose your game save. Affected players should be hearing from us soon with details on how we are addressing the situation.”

They also said that if players affected by this issue do not hear from them by Friday, May 8, then they should submit a Customer Service help request on Warner Bros. website.
