14 DAY TRIAL // Mortal Kombat X has received a new batch of screenshots, fresh out of this year's edition of the E3 gaming convention taking place in Los Angeles.
The screenshots follow the lengthy and meaty Mortal Kombat X gameplay video released earlier, offering ample details on the upcoming fighting title's gameplay and new characters, from NetherRealms' Ed Boon himself.
Battles look precisely as brutal as one would expect but now take a page out of Injustice: Gods Among Us' book and feature a certain degree of stage interaction, such as grabbing and throwing props and using the backdrops for longer jumps.
The new screenshots showcase the new fighters, starting with Ferra & Torr, a duo comprised of a young girl riding on the back of a hulking warrior. Master Blaster was probably out of the question due to copyright infringement.
The next new character is D'Vorah, a weird female insect-like creature that sports wings and seems to be a veritable bug whisperer.
The final baddie is Kotal Kahn, an Aztec monstrosity that uses hearts for glasses and presumably only drinks blood.
In addition to these characters, Mortal Kombat X will also have Cassie Cage, the daughter of famed characters Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.
Mortal Kombat X is currently scheduled to come out sometime during 2015, for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.
