Android users have been dying to get NetherRealm's latest Mortal Kombat X game on their devices, but the developer seems to have been unable to meet their demands yet.

Mortal Kombat X was initially launched on iOS, even before the game made its debut on PC and consoles. Along with the release of the iOS game, publisher Warner Bros. said the Android version will arrive very soon.

Well, it's been almost a month and Mortal Kombat X is still not available on Android for everyone to play. It's worth mentioning that the game has been listed on Google Play Store, but it's only available in a few countries (not United States).

If you want, you can now follow our step-by-step guide for downloading Mortal Kombat X for Android regardless of your region, but if you want to wait until it shows up on your Google account, there's nothing you can do.

A few days after the iOS release, Ed Boon said that the game should be released on Android within two weeks. Evidently those two weeks have come and gone and Mortal Kombat X is still not available to everyone.

NetherRealm says they will continue to support iOS and Android games

The good news is the same Ed Boon confirmed yesterday that Mortal Kombat X will arrive on Android on May 5, along with the Jason Voorhees bundle.

The information has been confirmed during NetherRealm's stream on Twitch (move cursor to 46:20), though we can't be sure that this will actually happen for real.

The Android version of Mortal Kombat X had some issues since its release on Google Play store. Even though developers have already launched a few updates, the game still lags and crashes randomly.

The graphics is not even on par with the iOS version of the game, but NetherRealm said that improved graphics will be delivered via updates.

Anyway, we will keep an eye out on Google Play Store, and as soon as the game shows up, we'll update the news, so stay tuned.

Update: It's now available for download to everyone regardless of country.
