After a few rumors and reports, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm have confirmed that Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will be released onto the PC platform this summer.

The game will appear in July as a digital download and in August as a retail edition.

Mortal Kombat appeared back in 2011 and delivered a great experience that resurrected the fighting game franchise on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Since then, developer NetherRealm focused on other projects, like the recent Injustice: Gods Among Us, but it also tasked High Voltage Software with adapting the game for the PC platform.

Now, the announcement has been made that Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, the full version of the game that includes all the different DLC characters, skins, or fatalities, will appear for the PC.

The new game will appear as a downloadable title on July 3, and will arrive in retail stores at the beginning of August.
