Those who doubt Morrissey's commitment to defending animal rights need only learn about his canceling on Kimmel simply because he did not want to be on the same set as the cast of Duck Dynasty in order to change their minds.

The musician has now joined another cause aimed at ridding the world of animal cruelty, Look to the Stars informs us.

Long story short, Morrissey has taken a stand against the Imperial College London, and is asking that fans sign a petition aimed at no longer allowing this institution to carry out cruel experiments on animals.

“An undercover investigation carried out by the BUAV has exposed appalling suffering and wrong-doing inside one of the UK’s leading universities, Imperial College London, ranked as one of the best in the world,” the petition reads.

Furthermore, “The BUAV is calling on the Home Secretary to revoke Imperial College’s Establishment Licence, stopping them from carrying out further animal research, and launch a full and independent inquiry in the concerns raised by the BUAV investigation.”

By the looks of it, Morrissey was shocked to find out about the abuses carried out against animals at the Imperial College London.

Those wishing to sign the petition and show their support for this cause can do so here.
