It turns out this really is the season to be jolly, as least as green group PETA is concerned. The organization stands to soon receive a hefty donation, all thanks to singer Morrissey.

The latter has agreed to donate a signed copy of his autobiography, titled “Autobiography,” and the book is now being auctioned on eBay. The auction ends on December 26.

According to Look to the Stars, this hardback copy is the only full-color one to have thus far been signed by the author. This makes it one of a kind, and might explain why the current bid sits at ₤5,300 (€6,287/$8,653).

Whatever money is raised by selling this book will be donated to PETA, and will be used to promote veganism and fight cruelty towards animals.

For those unaware, Morrissey is a vegan and is completely against meat consumption. Thus, in a recent interview, the singer said that, at one point, he walked out on a date because the latter was a meat eater.
