An ad that promises free vouchers for Christmas shopping at Morrisons turns out to be another Facebook scam that in the end leads to the survey that usually pops up as a result of such fake offers.

Sophos reports that such a scam is making rounds on the social networking website, luring users into sharing the scam in return for fabulous prizes.

Interestingly, after the link from the message is clicked, the user is taken to a website that promotes Argos, instead of Morrisons.

Before the poll page makes an appearance, the unsuspecting customer is asked to complete a form that requests tons of information such as name, email, date of birth, address and phone number. This information can be sold for big money to shady marketers who feed off internauts by spamming their inboxes.
